Butler Concrete & Aggregate is a third generation-run operation that has served southern Vancouver Island for more than 80 years. Today, we are an industry leader adopting new technologies to pursue product quality and reduce our environmental impact. With a full suite of EPDs we have the lowest published embodied carbon values in North America. We have a long-standing relationship with Lafarge Holcim being one of the first customers to the Richmond BC cement plant. Our current operations consist of 5 concrete depots and 3 sand and gravel pits. Our growing fleet of over 40 10-metre concrete delivery trucks gives us the largest capacity in our service area. With almost 100 staff involved in the operations today, we anticipate continued growth in the years ahead.

The opportunity
Butler Concrete & Aggregate Ltd. is actively seeking a Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. This role works closely with Sales, Production, Dispatch, Quality Control/Quality Assurance and the Duncan Aggregate Division. This position combines technical proficiency with sales acumen to assess client requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and facilitate business agreements. Primary responsibilities include conducting presentations, negotiating contracts, providing technical support, and sustaining enduring client relationships.

Leadership
Prepare quotations under the direction of the Sales Manager, Distribute once reviewed and follow-up until awarded.
Obtain feedback on lost work.
Pursue leads and prospects provided from tools such as Yellow Sheets, CoolNet and other resources as well as investigate leads encountered in the field and bring to the attention of the Sales Manager.
Promote and sell company products and services to existing and new customers.
Assist in organization of sales and marketing functions, customer entertainment.
Address inquiries on our products, services and pricing.
Address complaints/issues and follow through to resolution.
Assist the customer in assessing their needs and compliment with company products and services.
Ensure excellent relations with fellow employees, customers and the general public.
Additional duties as required.
What you bring
Sales background and a minimum of two years of equivalent field experience in concrete operations and technical sales.
An understanding of construction methods and materials, including product knowledge is an asset.
Positive, energetic, and professional.
